I saw this posted up on the wall at the Missionaries of Charity house in Atlanta, and I just had to take a picture. These women so beautifully depict the Lord’s love for His children through their acts of mercy & selfless giving. I’ve been so incredibly grateful to know & serve with them; they hold such a special place in my heart.
When my fiancé and I went to set up their crèche that he built in their front yard during Christmas time, I thought about how much of an honor it was to serve these women who spend their lives in service of others.
That’s what Jesus did & that’s what He calls us to do.
To serve.
To spend our lives in constant admiration of His love & bring that wonder & awe to those who don’t believe.
To stretch out our arms, open to receiving His graces & open to give a helping hand to others.
To die to ourselves as an offering to God & reflect on His Passion.
To allow ourselves to be deeply loved by the Father, to allow our own cups to be filled, so that whatever overflows, we can pour into our brothers & sisters in Christ.
You are loved.
You are necessary.
You are willed.
You are seen.
You are beloved.
You are known.
You are precious.
You are everything to the Savior.
