Our lives are reflections of what we worship.

We embody what we love most.

And normally, when we get confronted with this reality, we try to think of all the spaces we’ve gone wrong.

“What’s our bad patterns of thought?” we ask.

“What can we do to fix it?” we wonder.

Fine questions, in and of themselves - but often times not enough.

During my break, God spoke to me deeply about a few things - and one of them involves this invitation.

“Follow the artists”

That was the word.

Follow those who, in some way, reflect and embody Eternal Beauty and Wisdom.

But it’s not enough to simply “follow” on IG.

It’s a way of life.

It’s the slow and patient, and often unappreciated, contemplative life.

One of the ways sword and pencil is changing is this :

It will be a haven for artists.

It will be an invitation to, as much as possible, fight against the self indulgent machine of social media .

It will offer up a space for meditation, not instant gratification.

A place where, under the bright Sun of Love, we grow.

Not just by thinking.

Not just by doing.

But also by participating in Eternal Beauty and Wisdom.
